Burundi Muyinga

The Story

From the Bwongera farm in the Gashoho commune of Muyinga province, northern Burundi, grown by various smallholder producers between 1500 and 1700 meters. Bourbon varietal, fully washed. Burundi sits next to Rwanda and shares its gift for sparkling, clean cups, but reaches the shelf far less often, which makes this lot a small event. Tea flower and citrus up front, apple juiciness through the middle, and a spiced toffee finish, juicy from first sip to last.
