Specialty Coffee in Tenerife
Yūgen is a third wave specialty coffee shop in Costa Adeje, south Tenerife. We serve single-origin coffees from Colombia, Ethiopia, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic — roasted here on the island — as V60 pour over, Chemex, AeroPress and espresso.
Why Our Coffee Is Different
Single-Origin Only
Every coffee comes from a named farm or region — Pink Bourbon from Huila, Geisha from Huehuetenango, heirloom varieties from Yirgacheffe and Sidama — so you taste the terroir and the processing, not a blend that hides them.
Roasted in Tenerife
We work exclusively with Blend Coffee Roasters here on the island. Your coffee was roasted this week — not months ago in a mainland warehouse — and every bag we sell to take home carries that same freshness.
Brewed to the Bean
Light roasts go to the filter bar — V60, Chemex, AeroPress — where their florals and fruit shine. Medium roasts go to the espresso machine for body and sweetness. Grind, water temperature and timing are dialed in for every single coffee.
Pour Over, Filter & Espresso
Filter Coffee (Light Roasts)
- • V60 pour over: clean, bright cups with excellent clarity — the barista’s choice
- • Chemex: smooth and full-bodied with exceptional balance
- • AeroPress: rich, low-acidity cups, great for first-time filter drinkers
Espresso Bar (Medium Roasts)
- • Single-origin espresso, flat whites, cappuccinos and cortados
- • Milk steamed to 60–65°C so its natural sweetness survives
- • Barraquito — the layered Canarian classic, done properly

What makes coffee 'specialty'?
Specialty coffee scores 80+ points on a 100-point scale by certified Q Graders. It represents the top few percent of coffee globally, with full traceability from farm to cup and an emphasis on origin character, careful processing, and brewing precision.
What brewing methods do you offer?
We brew V60 pour over, Chemex, and AeroPress with our light roasts, and pull espresso — flat whites, cappuccinos, cortados — with our medium roasts. Each method is matched to the bean that shines in it.
Do you sell beans to take home?
Most of our coffees are available as whole beans to take home, roasted on the island by Blend Coffee Roasters — so your bag was roasted days ago, not months ago in a mainland warehouse. The exception: a few rare filter lots come in quantities so small we keep them exclusively for the brew bar. Ask us what’s available to take home.
Where exactly are you located?
You'll find us inside Centro Comercial La Niña (upper floor), Avenida de España, 26, 38660 Adeje — Costa Adeje, south Tenerife, a short walk from the coast. For current opening hours, check our Google Business Profile.
